First Baptist Dothan is a Bible believing, gospel centered church. We have people of all ages from all walks of life who have come together to worship Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We are not a perfect church, but constantly aspiring to be obedient to the Bible’s understanding of what makes a church healthy.First Baptist Church of Dothan is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!

What To Expect

We give glory to God and edify his church through the public reading of Scripture, the preaching of God’s Word, prayer, the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and the observance of the ordinances (baptism and communion).
When you arrive, please locate a member of our welcome team and let them know this is your first time. They will assist you in finding a community group to join or help you find a place in the worship center.

What about my kids?

Every volunteer in our children's and youth area has completed a background check through our Ministry Safe System. We take the safety of our children and youth seriously. As a result, we have a check-in system for all preschoolers and children through 6th grade. Your child will not be allowed to leave our classes without the proper checkout tag.

Where do I park?

We have parking lots available on Main Street across from the front of the church and behind the church on Troy Street. Most people come in through our Troy Street entrance, but both parking lots are available for use.      Parking Map

What do I wear?

Some people show up in a suit, others show up in business casual, and some wear jeans. We want you to wear whatever makes you most comfortable.

How can I watch online?

You can watch our services on our website, Facebook page, YouTube, or on television on WDHN at 11AM (Tape Delay). First Baptist livestreams every Sunday at 10:30AM on Facebook, YouTube and here on our website.
